Job summary

Moog's Military Aircraft Group in Torrance, CA is seeking an OSV Quality Assurance Auditor to plan and perform audits to ensure process effectiveness and operator competency on-site in Torrance.

Candidates should have an Associate degree in a technological field, at least 2 years of experience with precision machines, and proficiency with measuring and test equipment. Aerospace exposure and AS9100D are a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates degree (vocational, professional, or advanced) in a Technological field.
• Successful completion of external technical education and training may count as equivalency of a Technical Associates Degree.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with precision machines and/or assembly and test processes.
• Proficiency in the use and understanding of measuring and test equipment.
• Experience with Audit Documentation & Presentation.
• Familiar with manufacturing and inspection processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform audits in accordance with the OSV Process to determine process effectiveness and operator competency.
• Provide assistance and support with Business Systems and product audits when necessary.
• Sample inspect parts during audits using inspection techniques and layouts of varying complexity.
• Provide technical guidance on interpretation of complex drawings and inspection techniques and train personnel.
• Support analytical and statistical applications by assisting in variation-reduction activities.
• Assist in training operators on Quality procedures and inspection techniques.
