Job summary

PPG Industries is seeking an Aerospace Manufacturing - Operational Excellence Engineer to drive continuous improvement across value streams at the Huntsville, AL facility. You will lead lean initiatives, coach teams, apply Kaizen, value stream mapping, 5S and visual management, and monitor metrics to reduce waste and improve safety, quality and cost.

You must have 5+ years in lean/continuous improvement in aerospace or regulated manufacturing, a technical bachelor degree, and certification.

Qualifications

Five (5)+ years in lean manufacturing/continuous improvement in aerospace or regulated manufacturing.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
Lean/Six Sigma certs; Green Belt+ preferred.
Proficiency with data analytics tools (Minitab, JMP, Excel) and ERP.
Eligible to obtain government secret clearance; US citizenship or eligible status.

Responsibilities

Lead Lean improvement initiatives across multiple value streams.
Coach leaders and teams in Lean methodologies and problem solving.
Develop and monitor lean performance indicators and roadmaps.
Support new product introductions and process changes to reduce waste and variability.
Drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements through data-driven decisions.
