Job summary

Karman Space & Defense is seeking an Operations Manager in Cedar City, UT to lead manufacturing value streams and QA, ensuring safe, high‑quality production and cost‑effective execution. You will guide multi‑disciplinary teams, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement aligned with program objectives.

Required are a bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering, 3+ years of supervisory experience, and familiarity with AS9100/OSHA. DoD clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience working in cross‑functional teams with hands‑on support.
• Familiarity with aerospace materials and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and OSHA compliance.
• Experience with ERP systems such as EPICOR, MaintainX, Machine Metrics, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations across manufacturing value streams and QA to ensure safe, high‑quality production.
• Lead and develop teams, manage resource planning and budgets.
• Drive continuous improvement with lean practices including 6S.
• Collaborate across departments to resolve issues and maintain program execution.
• Support personnel performance, training, and evaluations.
• Monitor labor utilization and capital projects progress.
• Ensure safe working environment and OSHA compliance.
