Job summary

Barnes Aerospace East Granby OEM Site seeks a Director of Operations to lead day-to-day and strategic manufacturing activities, shaping a high-performance organization. You will supervise production and maintenance teams, drive Lean initiatives, and collaborate with HR to foster a positive, results-driven environment.

The ideal candidate has significant operations leadership experience in aerospace, strong change-management skills, and a track record of delivering safety, quality and efficiency

Qualifications

• Eight years of operations or manufacturing experience; aerospace preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing concepts understanding; proven implementation.
• Strong leadership and people engagement; EI-based leadership approach.

Responsibilities

• Leads day-to-day and strategic production activities; manages supervisors.
• Champion Lean Kaizen/6S to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
• Oversees internal and external supply chain to meet quality and delivery targets.
• Drives safety, quality, productivity and delivery; recognizes and rewards results.
• Coaches supervision and staff to promote growth of the operations team.
• Tracks performance and ensures countermeasures for missed targets.
