Job summary

Metrea is seeking an aerospace sustainability expert to manage obsolescence risks for the KC‑135R and C‑135FR fleets. You will lead the DMSMS program, ensuring sustainable aerial refueling capabilities and coordinating cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in aerospace supply chain management and engineering, a proven ability to interpret technical data, and strong communication skills. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a full-time, exempt position with work in Moreno Valley, CA.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of experience in aerospace sustainment, supply chain, or engineering.
• Hands‑on familiarity with FAA approval pathways for non‑OEM parts.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical data.
• Experience with maintenance information systems and tracking/reporting.
• Strong communication skills for briefing senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage obsolescence issues for aircraft components in the KC‑135R and C‑135FR fleets.
• Develop and execute strategies for component sourcing and repair.
• Interface with supply chain, engineering, and maintenance operations.
• Maintain obsolescence tracking and mitigation documentation.
• Analyze costs for redesign versus repair of parts.
