Job summary

Metrea is seeking a seasoned Fuel Systems Maintenance Lead to own the fuel systems maintenance for its KC-135R and C-135FR tanker fleet. You will guide a team that keeps fuel cells, plumbing, and aerial refueling delivery systems safe, leak‑free, and mission capable, working in a high‑reliability environment.

Based in Riverside, CA, this full‑time exempt role requires FAA A&P certification, 7+ years of aviation fuel experience, and leadership ability.

Qualifications

FAA A&P certificate required and active.
7+ years in aircraft fuel systems maintenance.
Minimum 2 years in lead/supervisory role.
Hands-on fuel cell entry/repair on large aircraft.
Experience with aerial refueling systems and T.O. 1-1-3 standards.
Confined space entry training and safety compliance.
Proficiency with AMOS or similar maintenance IT systems.

Responsibilities

Lead all fuel system maintenance across the fleet, including entry, inspection, leak evaluation, and repair.
Own the confined space entry program ensuring OSHA compliance.
Manage leak detection, classification, and repair standards.
Plan and schedule fuel system inspections with planning and MCC to protect fleet availability.
Oversee maintenance of aerial refueling delivery systems and components.
Embed fuel system airworthiness requirements in work instructions and training.
Manage shop equipment, sealants, consumables, and tooling with calibration control.
Develop, qualify, and mentor fuel maintenance technicians.
Document work in AMOS and maintain accurate configuration/repair history.
Support SMS hazard identification and risk assessment for fuel system operations.
