Job summary

Rocket Lab in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a New Product Development Program Manager II/III to lead technical project management from concept through launch. You’ll collaborate with design, manufacturing, and procurement to ensure efficient delivery and impactful results.

The role supports a base salary range of 107,000–135,000 USD in Maryland, with equity and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of program management experience in product development within aerospace manufacturing or similar industry.
• 2+ years of product or project engineering experience in NPD/NPI.
• BS/BA in engineering, business, or relevant field.
• Demonstrated problem solving, data analysis, and project planning skills.
• Experience with U.S. export control laws.

Responsibilities

• Define program requirements (external & internal) based on customer proposals.
• Interface with Engineering leadership and systems engineer.
• Maintain relationships with customers and build long-term partnerships.
• Facilitate cross-functional planning and execution to meet schedule and budget.
• Communicate objectives, status, risks and needs to all levels of the organization.
• Develop reporting and tracking to ensure on-target schedule and cost.
• Create and review technical requirements.
• Identify key risks and prepare contingency plans.
