Job summary

Tata Technologies Ltd. is seeking a Level II NDT Technician to perform and interpret Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) on aerospace components in accordance with NAS410 and customer specifications.

The role requires independent inspection, data documentation, and compliance with quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include setting up UT/FPI, evaluating results, maintaining reports, calibrating equipment, and mentoring Level I staff.

Qualifications

• Currently certified Level II in FPI and UT per NAS410 or equivalent
• High school diploma or GED required
• 3+ years of NDT inspection experience, preferably in aerospace
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs
• Working knowledge of NDT standards, procedures, and quality systems
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation
• Basic computer skills including MS Office and inspection reporting systems

Responsibilities

• Perform Level II FPI on aerospace components per approved procedures
• Perform Level II UT inspections including setup, calibration, testing, and evaluation
• Interpret inspection indications against criteria for acceptance/rejection
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, certifications, and related docs
• Verify equipment calibration and conduct daily system checks
• Ensure compliance with NAS410, customer specs, and procedures
• Review work instructions, drawings, and technical specs
• Identify nonconforming material and initiate documentation
• Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits
• Assist training of Level I technicians and trainees
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of NDT equipment and area
• Follow safety, environmental and quality requirements
