Job summary

Joby Aviation seeks a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), 1st Shift at our US facilities in Marina, CA. The role evaluates structural integrity of aerospace parts using UT/CT/PT/ET on composites, metals, and additive parts, reporting to QC leadership.

The ideal candidate has NAS 410 familiarity, 0–2 years NDT experience or classroom/military training, and proficiency with ERP/MES and MS 365; training will be provided for four modalities.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and material specs.
• Familiar with NAS 410, ASNT, ASTM standards.
• 0-2 years NDT experience or formal NAS 410 training.
• Proficient with ERP/MES and MS 365 software.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-destructive evaluations on composite and metallic parts using UT, CT, PT, or ET.
• Set up, calibrate, and standardize NDT equipment and X-ray/CT systems.
• Analyze scanning data and log results in MES/QMS databases.
• Collaborate with NDT Engineers and shop-floor teams on technique development.
