Job summary

Leidos in Dayton, OH is seeking an Aerospace Modeling and Simulation Engineer to develop, integrate, and test models of aerospace systems, including air-launched weapons, ballistic missiles, and hypersonics. You will document performance against requirements and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Required: ABET-accredited degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering, 2+ years’ experience, MATLAB/Simulink, 3DOF/6DOF modeling, and system-level requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET-accredited university
• 2+ years’ experience
• Experience with 3DOF/6DOF flight models
• Experience in MATLAB/Simulink
• Experience with system level requirements
• Detailed understanding of the systems engineering process
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
• Organizational skills to document work and interface with team members
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI clearance
• Local to or willing to relocate to the Dayton, OH area

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and test models of aerospace systems based on provided information, research, and engineering principles
• Document model performance against requirements
• Document algorithm design
• Work collaboratively with an engineering team
• Interact with external stakeholders to define requirements and perform model demonstrations
