Job summary

Katalyst is seeking a qualified engineer to develop and validate models and simulations for aerospace missions in a hands-on, fast-paced environment in Colorado. You will implement cross-domain models, convert data sheets into code, and contribute to SITL testing while maintaining a robust coding environment.

The role requires 1–3 years in modeling/simulation, strong C++/Python skills, and a BS in a STEM field.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of modeling and simulation experience for aerospace missions.
• 2–3 years of C++ and Python experience.
• Strong OO software development practices.
• Ability to rapidly understand new challenges, plan, obtain buy-in, and execute.
• Understanding distributed systems and how components fit into larger architectures.
• BS in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related STEM field.

Responsibilities

• Help create models and sims for cross domain uses.
• Learn how to convert data sheets into code.
• Aid the team in creating AI&T testing suite to aid in SITL testing.
• Maintain and create coding environment.
• Verify model and sims against hardware.
