Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a Production Manufacturing Engineer to define the system architecture and establish the ALG production line for aerospace electrical assemblies in Northridge, CA. You will implement DFMA-driven processes, quality control standards, and manufacturing execution systems to enable scalable production of satellite and ground equipment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with prototyping and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Apply DFMA principles to electrical system designs.
• Create work instructions, process documentation, and quality control procedures for electrical assembly operations.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing BOMs and routings in MES.
• Implement manufacturing processes for electrical assemblies including soldering, crimping, potting, and conformal coating.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives through DFMA analysis of electrical assemblies.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace electrical standards (AS9100, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620).
