Job summary

Comlux America, a VIP aircraft completion and refurbishment center in Indianapolis, seeks a Methods Engineer to develop and optimize manufacturing methods, routings, and documentation for completions, modifications, and maintenance programs. This role bridges Engineering and Production to ensure safe, high-quality, on-time aircraft delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related manufacturing experience
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, methods engineering, or production engineering experience
  • Experience in aerospace, aviation, automotive, defense, or other complex manufacturing environments preferred
  • Experience developing manufacturing processes, routings, work instructions, or standard work documentation
  • Experience supporting production operations in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Ability to read and apply engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and maintain manufacturing methods, routings, and process documentation for aircraft completions and modifications
  • Translate engineering drawings and design changes into manufacturable processes
  • Create and maintain Bills of Process (BOP) and labor standards
  • Identify opportunities to reduce lead time, labor hours, waste, and rework
  • Ensure designs are manufacturable and serviceable with Engineering
  • Collaborate with Planning and Production to optimize workflow and sequencing
  • Develop tooling concepts, fixtures, and manufacturing aids to improve quality and repeatability
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) with manufacturing methods before aircraft arrival
  • Provide technical support to production leadership and shop floor
  • Support ERP, MES, and digital manufacturing initiatives
  • Review engineering changes for production impact and labor/tooling needs
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, RSQM, IOPs, and company standards
  • Lead or participate in root cause investigations and corrective actions
  • Prepare reports and presentations for operational leadership
  • Perform other duties as assigned
