Beehive Industries is seeking a Metallurgical Technician, Contractor, to advance metallurgical preparation and validation of additively produced metals and aerospace components at our Loveland, Ohio facility. The role emphasizes independent work, teamwork, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will prepare samples, operate microscopes, and perform hardness testing while documenting results and maintaining lab equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two-year degree in science/engineering preferred.
• 2+ years of laboratory experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with good communication and prioritization.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and process metallic samples for microscopic examination using metallographic techniques.
• Section, mount, polish, etch, and image parts and materials with standard metallography equipment.
• Operate optical and scanning electron microscopes for image analysis of metallic samples.
• Perform metallic powder testing including size analysis and chemistry.
• Conduct hardness and microhardness testing.
• Collect, document results, and generate reports for analysis.
• Maintain lab and equipment housekeeping and procure consumables.
• Author and optimize standard operating procedures for efficiency.
• Promote safe lab practices and adapt to changing priorities as directed.
• Provide reliable support for the Material and Process Department.
