Qualifications

• Connectict Registered Apprenticeship Program participation is required.
• Enrollment in Technology Studies Certificate – Mechatronics Automation Technician Option at a CT State Community College campus.
• Ongoing participation and satisfactory progress in both on-the-job learning and related technical instruction are conditions of employment.
• External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship.
• Export Control compliance requires a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks under the direction of a qualified mentor
• Conduct routine, corrective, and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, equipment irregularities, and breakdowns
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
• Communicate equipment issues clearly and accurately
• Assist with welding and fabrication tasks as required
• Identify defective components and perform repairs or replacements
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance activities in accordance with established procedures
