Schaeffler Aerospace USA Corp. in Danbury, CT is seeking CNC Machining Apprentices for a Connecticut Registered Apprenticeship Program. The role combines paid on-the-job learning with related technical instruction to develop precision machining skills.

Apprentices will rotate through Metrology, Inspection, Grinding, Turning, and Milling, learning to read engineering docs and operate equipment under mentors. Starting wage is $20.40/hr with milestone-based increases.

Qualifications

• Requires enrollment in CT Registered Apprenticeship Program and completion of the Technology Studies Certificate option at CT State Community College.
• Ongoing participation in on-the-job learning and related instruction is required.
• High school diploma or GED required; US work authorization without sponsorship.
• US Person export control requirement may apply.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured apprenticeship program combining classroom and on-the-job training.
• Complete rotations in Metrology, Inspection, Grinding, Turning, and Milling.
• Read blueprints and manufacturing specifications; operate machinery under mentorship.
• Follow safety, quality, and production standards; contribute to continuous development.
