Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Mechanisms Engineer to support development, integration, and validation of advanced aerospace systems. This role blends hands-on engineering with manufacturing and flight operations.

You will lead integration of deployment and actuation mechanisms, perform mechanical analyses, and develop test procedures while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Requires 4+ years in mechanical/aerospace hardware and CAD proficiency (Creo/SW/CATIA).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering.
• 4+ years of experience with mechanical aerospace hardware.
• Experience with environmental testing standards and aerospace quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration and verification of spacecraft deployment and actuation mechanisms.
• Execute hardware builds and support manufacturing, test, and flight operations.
• Develop integration procedures, test plans, and engineering documentation.
• Perform mechanical analyses, evaluate interfaces, clearances, and performance.
• Conduct environmental and functional testing to qualify flight hardware.
• Analyze test results, resolve anomalies, and drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams throughout the hardware lifecycle.
