Job summary

Triumph Group is actively seeking a Mechanical Test Engineer to design, build, and maintain test equipment for aerospace actuator systems. You will support hardware/software/system development and provide testing and maintenance services across manufacturing and engineering teams.

The role emphasizes lab-based test equipment development, analysis of test results, and collaboration with customers and suppliers. Travel is expected at ~5–10% and the position is full-time.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science or Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience in mechanical design and analysis, system and feedback controls performance, fluid dynamics, test engineering and related practices.
• Able to create and read hydraulic and electrical test equipment schematics.
• Recent experience using LabVIEW graphical programming, CRIO hardware, real time and FPGA.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop test equipment based on requirements to support testing of actuator systems.
• Manage project schedules for automatic test equipment development from conception through implementation.
• Analyze test results to verify design meets performance requirements.
• Perform system integration, design assurance testing, and qualification testing.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers and suppliers to resolve technical issues and present findings to stakeholders.
