Job summary

RTX Collins Aerospace is seeking an open Mechanical Repair Technician III to service customer returned products and ensure functional operation. The role must meet safety and quality standards and comply with FAA regulations. It is a first-shift, onsite position with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Repair products in accordance with product component maintenance manuals to meet regulations.
• Disassemble, clean, repair and test fire-extinguisher products.
• Use a wide range of hand and power tools.
• Navigate SAP with minimal assistance.
• Comply with all rules and regulations of Collins Aerospace, including Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics, IT and HR.
• Check work methods and results for conformance to standards.
• Report to Lead or Supervisor on work progress and updates including conditions surrounding failures to meet quality standards.
• Perform all aspects related to the process of repairs through the service center including receiving, inspection, cleaning, tear-down, documentation, repair, reassembly and packaging of parts for return to the customer.
• Apply strong attention to detail to ensure safety and quality and maintain a clean work area.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain strong productivity in a fast-paced environment.
• Frequent standing, sitting, stooping and occasional climbing, balancing, crouching, reaching.
• Must be available for overtime, including extended workdays and weekends.
