Job summary

HEICO Component Repair Group in Miami, FL seeks an Engineering Intern / Assistant to support our Engineering Team. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, organized and ready to contribute to the development and maintenance of aviation repair documentation and testing systems.

Responsibilities include assisting engineers in analysis, testing and repair of aircraft components, preparing and maintaining drawings and work instructions, and supporting fabrication of testing fixtures used in aviation

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related technical field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of engineering fundamentals.
• Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD or equivalent) preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting Engineers in the analysis, testing, and repair of aircraft accessory components and testing equipment.
• Assisting in preparing, revising and maintaining engineering drawings, schematics and work instructions.
• Supporting the fabrication and assembly of specialized testing equipment and fixtures.
• Gathering, organizing and verifying technical data.
• Performing other duties as assigned by management.
