Job summary

Realign Llc is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Aerospace Domain exp) in Irvine, CA, for a long-term contract. The role focuses on hardware and system design, environmental control architectures, and aerospace-grade testing and validation.

You will work on thermal analysis, control logic, and CAD modeling using leading tools to deliver production-ready designs while complying with MIL-STD-810 and DO-160 requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience designing ECS architectures for aerospace environments.
• Experience performing thermal and flow analysis for aerospace hardware.
• Familiarity with aerospace environmental testing standards like MIL-STD-810 and DO-160.

Responsibilities

• Design ECS architectures for aircraft environmental control systems.
• Size components and select valves, regulators, heat exchangers, and actuators.
• Model pneumatic flow, route ducts, and analyze pressure drops.
• Interface mechanical hardware with sensors and basic electronics.
• Develop and validate control loops to regulate temperature and pressure.
• Prepare test plans and review results against requirements.
