Job summary

KIHOMAC, Inc in Utah seeks an experienced aerospace engineer to analyze, design, and document aircraft components. You will model complex parts, create drawings to ASME standards, and drive tooling and fixture concepts across multiple vendors.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or related fields and 2+ years of aerospace experience, with NX/SolidWorks proficiency and knowledge of MRO and corrosion issues. Compliance with quality standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Mechatronics or related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in the required task area.
• Experience with NX and/or SolidWorks; ability to model complex aircraft parts.
• Experience with tooling and fixture design; structural analysis or environmental systems a plus.
• MRO and corrosion background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical analysis to solve assigned problems with limited variables.
• Select materials based on strength or tooling requirements.
• Create drawings from 3D models per ASME standards.
• Reverse engineer parts using inspection tools to complete data.
• Manage projects, procurement, and fabrication to meet costs and schedule.
• Design aircraft components and perform FEA to prove strength.
• Select and manage vendors throughout project.
• Follow ISO9001, AS9100D, NADCAP quality procedures.
• Write build, assembly, inspection, and production instructions.
