Job summary

Davis Manufacturing in the United States is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support and improve manufacturing operations through data-driven analysis, process development, and engineering design. This hands-on role collaborates with production, quality, and leadership to advance tooling, fixtures, and process optimization while ensuring AS9100 compliance and customer requirements.

Strong SolidWorks and GD&T skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in manufacturing or mechanical engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, including complex assemblies and drawing generation.
• Expert understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and ability to interpret and produce detailed drawings.
• Experience with AS9100 Quality Management Systems and related documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including process plans and inspection plans.
• Create and modify routings/travelers in the MRP system to ensure accurate process flow.
• Lead engineering projects from initiation through completion with clear scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Develop and refine fixture, test equipment, and automation designs using SolidWorks.
