Job summary

Interns work with AV engineers to design mechanical components, build prototypes, and learn engineering change processes. The role involves creating 3D CAD models in SolidWorks, supporting simulations in SolidWorks Simulation or ANSYS, and contributing to design reviews, drawings, and documentation while collaborating in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
• Hands-on prototyping, lab testing, or mechanical assembly experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist design of mechanical components and systems including airframes and payload enclosures.
• Create and modify 3D CAD models and assemblies.
• Support simulations using SolidWorks Simulation or ANSYS.
• Participate in prototype fabrication and testing.
• Generate technical drawings and BOMs.
• Collaborate on design reviews and documentation.
