Job summary

In-Finite Search Solutions in Montgomery County, OH, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer / Engineering Manager to lead aerospace valve, hydraulic component, and assembly design and development. This hands-on leadership role blends mechanical design, prototyping, testing, customer interaction, and project management, with potential growth toward Engineering Director within 3–5 years.

7+ years of design engineering experience and familiarity with AS9100, DFx, and cross-functional

Qualifications

• 7+ years of mechanical design engineering experience, preferably within aerospace, defense, or a related industry.
• Strong mechanical component, valve, hydraulic, fuel system, or assembly design experience.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
• Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM), prototyping, testing, and product validation.
• Strong understanding of customer specifications, RFQs, and project management.
• Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Aerospace, military, AS9100, or Mil-Spec experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop aerospace valves, hydraulic components, and mechanical assemblies.
• Create concepts, detailed designs, prototypes, and validation plans based on customer specifications and requirements.
• Work directly with customers regarding specifications, RFQs, design requirements, and project deliverables.
• Build and test prototypes and support performance, environmental, and qualification testing.
• Improve existing products for manufacturability, quality, reliability, and performance.
• Provide engineering support for legacy products, including redesigns and troubleshooting.
• Manage multiple engineering projects, timelines, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and cross-functional teams to ensure products meet AS9100, aerospace, military, and applicable industry standards.
• Support continuous improvement and the development of engineering processes and standards.
