Job summary

RTX's SAPD department in El Segundo seeks a mechanical/aerospace engineering student for an internship/co-op role onsite. You will support the design and development of high-speed digital hardware for aerospace products and test equipment, collaborating with a multi-discipline team.

You will learn mechanical design practices, participate in design reviews, and contribute to problem-solving in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional environment with access to mentoring from experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related (STEM) major.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship/co-op.
• Experience utilizing CAD tools such as CREO or equivalent.
• Experience with Engineering Analysis and Simulation software and programming tools such as MATLAB and Python.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of high-speed digital hardware for aerospace products and associated test equipment.
• Collaborating in a multi-discipline team setting to solve complex engineering problems.
• Holding design and drawing reviews with peers and subject matter experts.
