Job summary

Senior Aerospace SSP in the United States is seeking a CATIA V5 design engineer to prepare 3D models and drawings for aerospace ducting systems, coordinating with project and manufacturing engineers. The role emphasizes GD&T, weight calculations, and creating MB D using the FTA workbench, with limited travel and mentoring to junior staff.

A Bachelor's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering is required; a Master’s is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with four years minimum of aerospace design and drafting experience.
• Master's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with two years minimum experience; CATIA V5 hours minimum.
• ASME Y14.5 certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in 3D modeling in CATIA V5; create sketch-based solids, complex surfaces, assemblies and parametric models.
• Create 2D drawings or 3D PDFs for detail components and assemblies; develop MB D using FTA workbench.
• Prepare BOMs and perform weight calculations; perform design checks and assist shop, customers and vendors in reading drawings.
