Job summary

Onboard Systems International is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician in Vancouver, WA. The role involves assembling, tearing down, and rebuilding mechanical aerospace components per drawings and documentation, using hand tools, and following FAA-related and regulatory requirements.

You will join a production team, perform testing and inspection, and support shipping and QC. The job requires attention to detail, basic mechanical skills, and at least 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience performing similar work in assembly, WC, Shipping/receiving or quality is required.
• Basic Mechanical Skills are essential.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow drawings/plans.

Responsibilities

• Assemble or repair mechanical aerospace components per drawing & documentation requirements
• Conduct testing & troubleshooting of finished goods
• Potential to perform bead-blasting or other secondary processes of CNC components as needed
• Disassemble, clean, and inspect components for repair
• Assist in the shipping department by shipping products internationally while following regulatory requirements
• Support the QC team by inspecting products and their parts, using basic hand tools
• Operate the computerized parts pulling machine
