Job summary

Onboard Systems International, located in Vancouver, WA, is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to support production onsite. Shift is Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm with pay ranging from $21.00 to $26.00 per hour.

The role involves assembling, tearing down, and rebuilding mechanical aerospace components per drawings and documentation, using hand tools and following plans. Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screen; FAA drug testing may apply if in the repair roster.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience performing similar work in assembly, WC, Shipping/receiving or quality.
  • Proficiency in following build instructions, plans and drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble or repair mechanical aerospace components per drawings & documentation requirements.
  • Conduct testing & troubleshooting of finished goods.
  • Potentially perform bead-blasting or secondary processes of CNC components as needed.
  • Disassemble, clean, and inspect components for repair.
  • Assist in shipping by handling international shipments following regulatory requirements.
  • Support QC by inspecting products and parts with basic hand tools.
  • Operate the computerized parts pulling machine.

Position Overview

Location: Vancouver, WA (Onsite)

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour

The Mechanical Assembly Technician will support the production team by primarily working in mechanical assembly or as a part of our maintenance, repair and overhaul department. This role will be assembling, tearing down, and rebuilding mechanical aerospace components per drawing and documentation requirements. This is a physical role requiring gross and fine motor skill aptitude. You will use hand tools to assemble and measure our products including cargo hooks and their components. You will be required to follow written plans and blueprints.

Qualified applicants are required to pass a pre-employment drug screen as an MRO tech, approximately 6 months after being hired, you may be subject to FAA drug testing regulations if you join our repair roster, which includes random drug screen for federally banned substances including marijuana.

  • Disassemble, clean, and inspect components for repair.
  • Assist in the shipping department by shipping our products internationally while following regulatory requirements
  • Support the QC team by inspecting products and their parts, using basic hand tools
  • Operating the computerized parts pulling machine
Who You Are
  • Proficiency working with, and following, build instructions, plans, and drawings
  • High attention to detail
  • Basic Mechanical Skills
  • Minimum 1 year of experience performing similar work in assembly, WC, Shipping/receiving or quality is required.
