Job summary

The Marvin Group, a defense contractor based in Southern California near LAX, is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Assembler for 100% onsite work. You will assemble subassemblies, install fasteners, read blueprints, and uphold quality standards in a dynamic environment.

Minimum 1–2 years in mechanical assembly plus a High School Diploma or GED are required. Candidates must be able to lift up to 35 lbs and pass a basic aptitude test; ITAR compliance is required for U.S. persons.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 1–2 years mechanical assembly experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow engineering specifications.
• Must lift up to 35 lbs and work with basic hand tools; pass mechanical aptitude test.

Responsibilities

• Align and fit sub and structural assemblies by installing and connecting parts, fittings, and assemblies.
• Install fasteners such as bolts, screws, rivets, rivnuts, helicoils, keenserts, and adhesives.
• Use basic hand tools and measuring instruments to verify sizes and tolerances.
• Set up, operate, and maintain drilling and riveting equipment (Cherry & Huck).
• Read blueprints to determine layouts and sequence of operations.
• Perform quality checks to ensure metal parts meet standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and follow safety procedures.
