Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a mechanical/electro-mechanical assembler for the 2nd shift in Phoenix, AZ. You will plan and perform assembly, tests, fabrication, and inspection to maintain workflow in standard and non-standard environments.

Read blueprints/BOMs, operate tools, maintain workstation inventory, conduct quality checks, and rework as needed per engineering changes while following safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED (US) or equivalent.
• IPC Class III Solder Exam is a preferred certification.
• Experience with electronic assembly is preferred.
• Experience in the aerospace industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
• Operate tools and equipment, including hand tools, electrical tools, cutters, measuring devices, and light machinery.
• Maintain inventory of products in workstations to ensure smooth production flow.
• Perform quality checks, identify defects, and record issues.
• Rework and repair assembled equipment per engineering changes.
• Follow safety and quality standards and maintain a clean work environment.
• 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm.
