Job summary

AMI Metals, Inc. in Katy, Texas is seeking a warehouse/packing associate to build skids and pack orders for shipment. You will stencil shipping labels, follow preservation policies and perform quality inspections to ensure accuracy and high standards.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment with loud noise and exposure to moving parts. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read safety rules and operate manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate.
• Math: add/subtract, multiply/divide; interpret rates/graphs.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Work environment includes moving parts, fumes, heat, noise.

Responsibilities

• Builds skids or boxes and packs shipments.
• Operates saws, nail gun, staple gun, banding equipment as needed.
• Follows AMI packing and preservation policies.
• Performs quality inspections to ensure 100% quality.
• Marks shipments and stencil shipping information.
• Maintains equipment records and keeps work area clean.
• May lift up to 50 pounds.
