Job summary
PTI Technologies Inc. is seeking a Material Scientist to advance energetic materials for Cartridge Actuated Devices (CAD) and Propellant Actuated Devices (PAD) in the aerospace sector.
You will lead material development, evaluate propellants and pyrotechnics, and perform mechanical and thermal analyses to ensure safety and performance throughout the product lifecycle. Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Biology or Chemistry.
- 5–10 years of aerospace design and manufacturing experience.
- Proven technical leadership for projects from proposal to production.
- Familiarity with FAA standards and AS9100 quality management systems.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD platforms and strong analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize energetic materials for CAD and PAD.
- Lead qualification testing and support manufacturing process development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety and performance.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and manufacturability improvements.
