Job summary

Element Materials Technology's Duarte, CA lab seeks a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead aerospace material qualification, design-allowables, and certification-support programs.

You will partner with customers, engineering, operations, quality, and commercial teams to own schedules, resources, risks, and communications across multi-batch testing programs, including FAA coordination and ISO/IEC 17025 compliant work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, aerospace, chemistry, physics, or related field.
• Seven+ years in technical project management, aerospace testing, material qualification, composites, or lab ops.
• Customer service: clear, concise communication; able to manage and de-escalate situations.
• Technical knowledge: polymer/ceramic composites, testing, data review, reporting.
• Project leadership: ownership of complex schedules, budgets, risks, and cross-functional execution.
• Systems/compliance: experience with scheduling tools, LIMS/ERP, ISO/IEC 17025, Nadcap.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer test projects from kickoff through closeout; weekly status reviews and issue/risk management.
• Own scheduling, materials, specimens (up to 10,000), and lab workflows.
• Develop and maintain IMS schedules, milestones, forecasts, and budgets.
• Coordinate FAA certification activities with customers and FAA reps.
• Translate statements of work and test plans into executable lab plans.
• Ensure ISO/IEC 17025, Nadcap, and FAA compliance across projects.
