Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking a materials and processes engineer for a contract assignment with Boeing through a third-party provider. You will define material specs, plan tests, and review supplier certifications to support aerospace manufacturing and design.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor/Master/Doctorate in engineering or related field, with 2+ years in aerospace and experience in CAPA, NDI, and documentation tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science in Engineering, Material Science/Mechanical Engineering, or related field. ABET preferred.
• 2+ years of work-related experience in engineering.
• 2+ years of aerospace industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain material specifications, process controls, and acceptance criteria for metals, alloys, coatings, heat treatments, and joining processes.
• Investigate production failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement CAPA.
• Plan and execute metallurgical testing and characterization (microstructure, hardness, tensile, fracture, corrosion, NDI).
• Review supplier material certifications and test reports.
• Maintain materials/process data, generate technical reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
