Job summary

Apex is seeking a Material Planner to join the on-site Production facility and work with Supply Chain and Production Control to ensure material readiness. You will forecast delivery dates and quantities, manage supplier orders, and mitigate risks to keep the production line stocked with necessary materials.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in a fast-paced environment, a Bachelor’s degree, and be prepared to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in relevant fast paced industry with demonstrated track record of success and on time delivery.
• Bachelor Degree in relevant field.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Ownership and demand planning for on time delivery of raw materials and finished goods.
• Work closely with the purchasing and supply chain team to ensure accurate forecast and timely orders being placed with suppliers.
• Report out to leadership as needed regarding any possible material shortages.
• Proactive approach to problem solving and determining root cause analysis with vendors.
• Develop, implement, and maintain material planning best practices within applicable systems such as MRP.
• Order creation and placement based on production schedules.
• Scenario planning for different build variations as required.
• Implementation of Continuous improvement mindset.
