Job summary

Boeing’s Millennium Space Systems division is hiring a Material Planner in El Segundo, CA, to lead material planning for on-time delivery using ERP/MRP systems. The role teams with engineering, program control and manufacturing to align material requirements, lead times and BOM data.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a supply chain, production, or engineering function.
• 4+ years' experience in material planning including inventory management and scheduling.
• Aerospace or Defense experience is preferred.
• Ability to obtain US citizenship and security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with engineering, management, program control, schedulers and quality on assigned assemblies.
• Read/interpret blueprints and manage releases in ERP/MRP to convey hard requirements.
• Assess MRP interdependencies and data for effective production planning.
• Manage material requirements, spares, lead times, quality flags and data sets for execution.
• Analyze data, request needed reports, and communicate value of data.
• Oversee workflow of assemblies through ERP/MRP and Costpoint/MO/Jira signals.
• Partner with scheduler and manufacturing teams to achieve ECDs.
• Release Costpoint actions for procurement and conversion to POs.
• Develop material management best practices and forecast eBOM/mBOM needs.
• Communicate status of materials, work orders, and POs to stakeholders.
• Resolve supply issues with cross-functional teams.
