Job summary

GE Aerospace's Dayton site in Ohio is looking for a Shipping/Receiving Associate to provide general material support, move materials, and manage domestic shipments in a lean manufacturing environment.

You will perform 5S housekeeping, packaging, labeling, and shipping tasks, including forklift operation, loading/unloading, and following work instructions to ensure accurate paperwork and on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months of related experience and/or training.
• Forklift certification.
• Valid driver license required to operate forklift and company van.
• Role may involve high risk or hazardous operations and shifts beyond standard workweek.
• Must be at least 18 years old by joining.

Responsibilities

• Provides general material support throughout the site.
• Prepares domestic dock shipments including crating, boxing, labeling and inspecting for specs.
• Checks pack list and verifies accuracy.
• Sleeves and ships domestic shipments per customer requirements.
• Operates a forklift with proper training.
