Barnes Aerospace in East Hartford, CT is seeking a Material Coordinator for the 1st Shift to join our manufacturing team. The role emphasizes shipping/receiving, inventory control, and coordination with operations using the ERP system Syteline 10.

Qualifications include 3+ years in an aerospace production environment, strong attention to detail, data-driven problem solving, and solid computer skills (Word/Excel).

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in an aerospace production environment.
• Attention to detail with ability to multi-task.
• Ability to problem solve based on data and instruction.
• Interpret travelers and work instructions.
• Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), ERP systems (Syteline 10).

Responsibilities

• Perform Shipping and Receiving functions which includes: Finished goods, semi-finished goods, raw material & details, consumable tooling, etc.
• Maintain and organize material storage areas on a daily basis.
• Coordinate with operations in moving parts/material, expediting job orders around the facility.
• Operate forklift or hand truck to move, convey or hoist materials, or product
• Review shipping and receiving documents for accuracy. Reject damaged items, record shortages, and other conditions
• Access and maintain customer portals to manage shipping requirements, delivery updates, shipment confirmations, and related documentation.
• Order and maintain inventory of shipping supplies, including packaging materials, labels, containers, and related consumables.
• Verify packaging, labeling, and shipping requirements are met in accordance with customer, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and comply with all company and safety rules and regulations during course of duties.
