Job summary

APR Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for an aerospace client in Oxnard, CA. This onsite role supports the Speargun Program with a 9×80 schedule and a potential 2nd shift (9/80B).

The position pays $34/hr on W2 (DOE) and is 6 months or longer. Responsibilities include setup/calibration with engineers, data collection for on-line adjustments, process improvements, and collaboration on experiments.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• High School Diploma or GED with 1-2 years’ related experience.
• Ability to read/understand basic mechanical drawings.
• Strong understanding of 5S principles in a mechanical assembly environment.
• Ability to work cohesively with others in a mechanical assembly environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs manufacturing operations tasks, including set-up and calibration with engineers, plus rework and quality testing of parts and assemblies.
• Uses programs to collect and evaluate data and make on-line adjustments to products or equipment.
• Develops methods/procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.
• Collaborates with engineers on experiments.
