Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Technician 3 in Iuka, MS to support our Aeronautics Systems operations. The role focuses on translating blueprints into precise assemblies, with hands-on fabrication, measurement, and quality verification on the shop floor.

The position requires attention to detail, strong teamwork, and the ability to work multiple shifts (Mon–Thu or Fri–Sun schedules). Relocation assistance and security clearances may be involved.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and understand engineering drawings.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work with teams and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints to guide fabrication.
• Translate blueprints into structural assemblies using drilling, countersinking, and calibrated tools.
• Align parts on jigs with templates and fixtures.
• Perform part-fitting operations including riveting, drilling, reaming, and finishing.
• Measure parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.
• Modify assemblies to reflect design changes and verify quality per control procedures.
• Daily use of manufacturing shop controls and systems.
• Wear appropriate PPE on the shop floor.
• Suggest continuous improvement in production methods and equipment performance.
