Job summary

Aerodyn Engineering in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to turn prints into production plans. You will craft precise routers, estimate time and tooling needs, and guide the shop floor through efficient execution.

The role spans quoting through execution with a focus on AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 standards. You’ll review past quotes, support project engineers, resolve scheduling conflicts, and drive continuous improvement across the department while mentoring team

Qualifications

Translate a print into an accurate, efficient router for shop floor use.
Ability to meet quoting deadlines and manage scheduling conflicts.
Self-directed, professional, and able to work under pressure.
Detail-oriented with focus on profitability and estimation accuracy.

Responsibilities

Build high-quality, cost-effective job routers with time estimates and machine selections.
Review historical quotes to assess profitability and routing accuracy.
Join project kick-off meetings to provide technical support.
Resolve machining scheduling and priority conflicts and communicate changes.
Assist CNC programmers with tooling purchases for routers.
Ensure quote data aligns with customer due dates for management review.
Document and implement continuous improvement procedures in manufacturing.
Mentor a positive shop floor culture.
