Job summary
Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. is seeking a manufacturing engineer to plan removals, review discrepancies, and generate detailed work instructions and BOMs for aerospace assembly.
The role requires cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Planning, Operations, and engineering teams to ensure configurations are controlled and processes are followed. Experience in Machining, Sheet Metal, or Systems and Structures is valued.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
- Experience with manufacturing engineering and aerospace knowledge is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide planning for Removals process and document steps for suspected conditions or rework.
- Review discrepancies and establish detailed planning steps for removal.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop optimal solutions.
- Define sequences of events, create work instructions, datasets, tooling requirements, and BOMs.
- Coordinate with Quality, Project Planning, Operations, and Liaison engineering to capture and implement requirements.
- Demonstrate configuration control of hardware within the manufacturing build plan.
- Apply process knowledge in Machining, Sheet Metal, Systems and Structures.
