Job summary

Johnson Service Group seeks a Manufacturing Planner in Palmdale, CA to analyze engineering drawings, models and specs to plan actionable work instructions and supporting documentation for multiple plan groups. You will translate engineering requirements into economical, practical instructions for production teams.

The role requires strong instructional writing, BOM/PLM familiarity, and the ability to coordinate with engineering and tooling to ensure conformance with project plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing planning or equivalent documentation development.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong instructional writing skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with PLM/ERP tools used for BOMs and planning.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, models, specs, and processes to plan work instructions.
• Determine sequences and documentation for plan groups (machine parts, composites, airframe systems).
• Collaborate with engineering and production to ensure feasible, economical instructions.
• Coordinate with Tooling and Planning to ensure conformance with plans.
