Job summary

Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin Company, is seeking an Operations Manager for the Bridgeport, CT Aerostructures Product Center. You will lead the daily manufacturing operations, manage a salary and represented hourly team, and drive on-time, defect-free delivery of airframe components.

The role emphasizes Lean initiatives, cross-functional coordination with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and Supply Management, and development of process improvements to meet business goals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of management and supervisory experience.
• 5-7 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably Aerospace.
• Bachelor's Degree required for consideration.
• Prior scheduling experience for aircraft assembly operations.
• Prior experience in data reporting through Tableau.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage salary and hourly manufacturing employees responsible for Aerostructures components.
• Deliver consistent communication to the salary/hourly workforce and enforce EH&S regulations.
• Identify and maintain LEAN principles in production and development components.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Management and Production Control to maintain flow and on-time delivery.
• Coach and mentor employees to meet objectives and foster ideas.
• Maintain positive employee relations and align with company policies.
• Identify facility and capital improvement needs and support projects.
• Manage multiple manufacturing areas and oversee recruitment, training, and performance actions.
