Job summary

Ilocatum in Bay Shore, NY is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead a team of manufacturing engineers and drive production-process improvements in a high‑precision aerospace environment.

You will collaborate across engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain to optimize methods, estimate labor and costs, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers.
• Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods, workflows, and production processes.
• Estimate production times, labor requirements, equipment needs, and manufacturing costs.
• Create and maintain CAD models and manufacturing documentation using CATIA V5 or similar CAD software.
• Generate engineering drawings and product structures that reflect customer requirements.
• Establish manufacturing tolerances and process documentation.
• Support production and subcontractors with engineering solutions and technical guidance.
• Coordinate engineering priorities with Operations, Quality, Purchasing, and Production teams.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
• Resolve manufacturing challenges through analytical problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards.
