Job summary

Gables Search Group is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join a premier aerospace manufacturer in Bay Shore, NY. The role leads a team of engineers, drives process improvements, and champions world-class manufacturing methods.

You will collaborate across engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and maintain superior quality. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, leadership experience, and aerospace

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred; associate degree considered with relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience and leadership experience.
• Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers.
• Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods, workflows, and production processes.
• Estimate production times, labor requirements, equipment needs, and costs.
• Create and maintain CAD models and manufacturing documentation using CATIA V5.
• Generate engineering drawings and product structures reflecting customer requirements.
• Establish tolerances and process documentation; support production with engineering solutions.
• Coordinate engineering priorities with Operations, Quality, Purchasing, and Production.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives focusing on quality and efficiency.
