Job summary

BestLogic Staffing is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Engineering to lead aerospace manufacturing engineering, CNC programming, digital manufacturing, and NPI. This onsite Bay Shore, NY role demands hands-on leadership, driving first‑article through production launches and establishing standards for CAM, verification, and tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline; an equivalent combination of education and accomplishments will be considered.
• Experience with CATIA CAM workflows and NC verification tools (VERICUT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing engineers, CNC programmers, and supporting technical resources.
• Translate customer drawings, CATIA models, specifications, and requirements into production-ready processes.
• Guide milling, turning, mill-turn, and multi-axis machining strategies for aerospace components; ensure quality and efficiency.
• Establish CATIA CAM standards, postprocessor practices, tooling libraries, and program release controls.
• Strengthen CNC verification using VERICUT or equivalent software; maintain accurate models.
• Improve cycle times, setups, machine utilization, and process capability while meeting customer requirements.
