Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer (AIT) to join a high‑impact team supporting production, assembly, integration, and testing of spacecraft hardware. This hands‑on role focuses on manufacturing processes, build optimization, and quality assurance for aerospace assemblies rather than mechanisms design.

The position requires 2–5 years in aerospace manufacturing or AIT, CAD proficiency (SolidWorks/Creo), and strong GD&T knowledge.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands‑on experience in aerospace manufacturing or AIT of mechanical hardware.
• Proficiency in manufacturing processes, assembly operations, and hardware testing.
• Experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo) and test equipment such as oscilloscopes and thermal chambers.

Responsibilities

• Execute and optimize build processes for spacecraft hardware including structures and actuators.
• Develop and maintain work instructions and production travelers for repeatable assembly operations.
• Support technicians on the floor by resolving blockers and ensuring hardware meets requirements.
• Develop, qualify, and operate tooling and GSE for integration and testing.
• Perform tolerance stack‑ups, fit checks, and torque applications to spec.
