Job summary

Safran is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer 1 to strengthen our Industrialization team in Carson, CA. You will support production engineering, document creation, and manufacturability reviews to optimize cost and schedule.

The role emphasizes lean methods, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement in a regulated aerospace setting. You will work with design engineering, quality, and operations to ensure that production plans meet cost, quality, and delivery goals.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a regulated engineering design or production environment.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and basic manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Support production engineering deliverables and manufacturing documentation.
• Assess design for manufacturability to optimize cost, weight, and time to manufacture.
• Assist in evaluating capacity vs program requirements and propose changes to meet objectives.
• Identify potential capital investments and infrastructure needs.
• Review 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturability and create work instructions.
